Operation Sindoor: Internet explodes as India’s retaliation against Pahalgam attack gets Bollywood adaptation

Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films and The Content Engineer have dropped a big news. They are teaming up for a new movie called Operation Sindoor. This film has been inspired by India’s most expansive cross-border strike in retaliation against the horrific Pahalgam terror attack. Under Operation Sindoor, which had lasted for 25 minutes, the Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes on nine terror bases in Pakistan and PoK on the night of May 6-7. The first look poster of Operation Sindoor was unveiled on May 9.
The Operation Sindoor poster is clearly striking. It features a female soldier in uniform with her back to us. She looks prepared to take on the adversaries as she holds a rifle. But there’s a powerful twist – she’s seen applying sindoor (vermillion) to her hair. As it puts forth an interesting mix of courage and tradition, it also shows how being a woman and a warrior can go hand in hand. The title appears in bold and the second “O” in Sindoor replaced by a smear of actual sindoor. To drive the patriotic feels home, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ is highlighted on top. All in all, the poster looks fierce, emotional, and impactful.
The poster has been shared by several paparazzi accounts with the common caption that read, “Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films & The Content Engineer collaborate together for India’s bravest strike-based film ‘Operation Sindoor”. Uttam Maheshwari will direct the film.
Just minutes after the poster was unveiled, social media went wild. Netizens wasted no time jumping in and sharing their thoughts. Reactions have been pouring in from all corners. A netizen wrote, “Actors and celebrities don’t have the guts to say anything publicly and they just want to mint money by making a movie on this . Wow brilliant.” Next comment read, “Shame on you and all of bollywood for making everything a capitalist opportunity! Operation Sindoor has not even been completed and you’re out here trying to take advantage of the worrying situation. Praying for karma to teach you a good lesson ???” Another comment read, “Milking an ongoing war, with an AI generated poster. This is as dystopian as it gets”.
Before this, Nicky and Vicky Bhagnani had produced Nikita Roy, a psychological thriller starring Sonakshi Sinha. It will hit theatres worldwide on May 30. Directed by Kussh S Sinha, the film also features Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar.
