Diljit Dosanjh is in New York and preparing for his big debut at the most prestigious fashion event, the MET Gala. However, unlike other celebrities who keep everything under wraps, the actor-singer has shared everything about his trip. While he had not given his fans any hint about what he had in store when it came to his attire, he did give us a look at the invite from the gala. Diljit took to his Instagram handle on the morning of May 5, 2025 (IST) and shared a video which showcased the MET Gala 2025 invite.Â
Taking to his social media, Diljit posted a clip that was set in his hotel room. He had an envelope containing the details of the grand gala. In the video, Diljit lightly joked that his friends should not send him wedding invites anymore as he now has an even more prestigious invite: the one from Met Gala. The actor-singer then showed off the invite and talked about the theme of the event: Black Dandyism. He also revealed the guests he would be sitting with, including NBA star, LeBron James, rapper, ASAP Rocky and the editor-in-chief of Vogue and host of the MET Gala, Anna Wintour.Â

We are all aware that Anna Wintour is extremely particular about the rules for the MET Gala. These rules have been placed by the editor-in-chief of Vogue to ensure that the experience remains as full as possible. Diljit Dosanjh also talked about the same rules and mentioned how photography was prohibited at the gala. He lightheartedly joked about the same and said, “Can’t make reels”. He also addressed how the the invite was restricted to one person and poked in a light joke stating, “Per person, per plate da hisaab hai.” He posted the video with the caption:
“MET GALA Tomorrow. Daso Fer Ki Paiye Kal Nu Halaa Laa Laa Karauni An #metgala.”
