Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai has arrived in France! The superstar looked happy as she received a warm welcome at the airport. She was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. Ahead of her red carpet appearance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya’s videos captured from Nice airport have started to go viral on social media. As expected, fans are happy.
The global ambassador of L’Oréal Paris is all set to walk the red carpet event on May 21 and May 22, as per reports. This will be Aishwarya’s 22nd red carpet walk in all her glory. The Miss World made her debut on the red carpet when her film Devdas premiered at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
In that year, Aishwarya arrived like an Indian princess in a chariot, accompanied by Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Aishwarya walked in looking like a diva in a yellow-gold Neeta Lulla saree and exquisite gold jewellery.
Over the years, Aaradhya has always accompanied her to the Cannes Film Festival. In an interview with Film Companion, the actress said, “It is really about just being together, it’s familiar to her, she knows everybody here, it is really about like reuniting with friends, coming back here to Cannes, it is an experience that is so familiar to her.”
Fans are excited to see her and come to the French Riviera. One of the fans commented, “Waiting for her new look.” Another added, “Cannes 2025, hope she rocks.” A third added, “She is back.”
The 78th Cannes Film Festival is set to shine with Indian talent, featuring writer-director Payal Kapadia in the main competition jury. Bollywood legend Sharmila Tagore and Simi Garewal attended the world premiere of the restored version of the 1970 Satyajit Ray film, Aranyer Din Ratri. Karan Johar and Neeraj Ghaywan are showcasing “Homebound”, while Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter will walk the red carpet for their film.
