EXCLUSIVE: Lisa Mishra Calls Bhumi Pednekar A Mini Version Of Zeenat Aman

Lisa Mishra recently started in The Royals where she essayed the role of Bhumi Pednekar’s best friend cum colleague. While the show has been under scrutiny for several reasons, the cast had a great time shooting with OG diva Zeenat Aman. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Lisa gushes over Zeenat Aman and heaps praise about her dedication and grace while recalling fond memories.

During the chat, Lisa states how she has been close to Bhumi and Zeenat and why she admires them. She remarks, “I think one great thing they both have in common is they’re modern and confident women. They’ve both in different generations played these roles every time. Every one of their choices has always been very forward-thinking and very modern so it’s incredible. It’s like seeing a mini Zeenat in Bhumi. It’s amazing to be around women who are so empowered and so headstrong and accomplished.”

Sharing her fondest memory with the veteran actress she says, “My fondest memory of Zeenat Ji was just to see how intelligent she was. She is so smart and she’s so cultured and worldly she knows everything so she’s able to have a conversation about literally any topic because she has so much knowledge.”

Acknowledging her dedication despite enduring health issues and shooting. Lisa reveals, “She was always on time no matter how many hours we were shooting and at her age, she never complained. Zeenat Ji was always you know ready to work and she she still treats. I feel every day like it’s her first day on set. She’s very respectful of people’s time and effort.”

On the work front, Lisa next has Call Me Bae season 2 with Ananya Panday.
