Sandeep Reddy Vanga Slams Actors Playing ‘Dirty PR Games’; UNFOLLOW Deepika Padukone After Her Exit From Prabhas Starrer Spirit

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming movie Spirit is in the news again. This time, it’s because actress Deepika Padukone has reportedly left the project. Earlier, it was announced that Deepika Padukone would star opposite Prabhas in the film. However, recent reports suggest she left the film because she was not comfortable shooting an intimate scene. There is no official reason confirmed yet, but the director’s tweet on Monday night hinted at some behind-the-scenes drama.

In his tweet, Vanga didn’t mention anyone directly but talked about “dirty PR games.” He wrote, “When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are… Putting down a younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn’t get it. You won’t get it. You will never get it. Aisa karo… Agli baar poori kahani bolna… kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha. #dirtyPRgames I like this kahawath very much.”

After this tweet, there are speculations that Vanga unfollowed Deepika Padukone on Instagram. While it’s unclear if he followed her before, she is not on the list of 69 people he follows. Her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, is still on Vanga’s follow list.

After Deepika’s exit, actress Triptii Dimri has been announced as the new female lead in Spirit. Triptii is said to be charging Rs 4 crore for the role. This is much less than the Rs 20 crore that Deepika reportedly asked for.

Reports also suggest that Deepika had made several conditions, such as limited working hours and a share in the film’s profits, before walking away from the project. The drama around Spirit continues, but the film now moves forward with a new leading lady.
