At the trailer launch event of Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar was asked how much did he charge for the film. And he had the best reaction. He said, “Maine paise liye honge to main tujhe kyu bataunga? Tu hamara bhatija lagta hai? (Why should I tell you how much I have charged. Are you my nephew).” He further went on to ask the journalist if he wants to conduct a raid. He said, “Maine paise liye, bahut acche khase liye. Film bani, bahut acche khaase budget mein bani. Bhut maza aaya. Aaj khushi ka din hai, tune raid daalna hai? (I took a very good amount and the film has also been made on a very good budget. Aaj khushi ka din hai. You want to conduct raid).” This left everyone in splits.

Akshay Kumar also addressed the controversy around Paresh Rawal’s exit from Hera Pheri 3. Despite Paresh Rawal’s exit, Akshay Kumar called him a good friend and mentioned that whatever decision has to be taken, is to be taken by court. Akshay Kumar shared that Paresh Rawal is a great actor and he really admires him. However, he called it a ‘serious matter’ that is going to be handled by court.
