Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that India has agreed to a ceasefire, initiated by Pakistan. Meanwhile, social media influencer Uorfi Javed shared a post from former US President Donald Trump, in which he stated that after a long night of talks mediated by America, India and Pakistan have agreed to implement an immediate ceasefire. Trump described the move as a “decision filled with collective wisdom and prudence” and congratulated both nations.

Swara Bhaskar also shared Trump’s post, expressing happiness over the ceasefire and hoping that this step would lead to lasting peace between India and Pakistan.

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire, which took effect at 5 p.m. local time. In a press briefing, Misri stated that Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) had a phone call with his Indian counterpart earlier Saturday afternoon. During the conversation, both parties agreed to halt all firing and military activities starting from 5 p.m. Indian Standard Time. Misri further mentioned that the directors general of both nations are set to speak again on Monday.
