On the occasion of the ITSF Padmashri Mahendra Kapoor Award Show, the star-studded audience was captivated by the enthralling performances of legendary singer Mahendra Kapoor’s son, singer-actor Ruhan Kapoor, and grandson, music composer and singer Sidhant Kapoor.

As a heartfelt tribute to the legendary filmmaker Manoj Kumar, whom we recently lost, Ruhan Kapoor performed ‘Hai Preet Jahaan’ which made the audience ecstatic with the spirit of patriotism. There were cheers of ‘Jai Hind’ in the auditorium right after his performance. Ruhan has been performing live shows across some of the most prestigious venues around the world including the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena in London, The Centre in Vancouver, Emirates Auditorium in Dubai and Palais Garnier in Paris. His extensive experience in live concerts was very evident through his breathtaking performance for this esteemed audience.

Sidhant mesmerized the audience with his rendition of iconic songs of his grandfather ‘Chalo ek baar phir se’ and ‘Neele Gagan ke Tale’. Legendary singer Sudesh Bhosale told the audiences, “As soon as Sidhant started singing, it reminded me of young Mahendra Kapoorji.” While introducing Sidhant, the host mentioned that Sidhant has learnt music from his grandfather and his father from a young age. Apart from learning Indian Classical, Sidhant also studied Western music and completed his post-graduation in music composition from the prestigious Trinity Laban College of Music in London. He is working on various international music projects for films as well as OTT. Sidhant recently launched a social media series titled ‘How Music is Made’, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of music composition through engaging 60–90 second reels. The series has been widely appreciated by music enthusiasts eager to uncover the mysteries behind how music comes to life.

The ITSF Padmashri Mahendra Kapoor Award Show was held at Y.B. Chavan Auditorium on the 11th April honouring film artists and eminent personalities from diverse fields. It was organized by Dattatraya Mane who invited Ruhan Kapoor & Sidhant Kapoor as the ‘Guests of Honour’ for the evening.
