Diljit Dosanjh took ChatGPT crash course to learn English just minutes before attending the Met Gala 2025, watch the viral video

In a viral video shared from the Met Gala, Nicole Scherzinger notices Diljit using ChatGPT on his phone, on their way to the event.

Diljit Dosanjh makes his debut this year at the Met Gala. He marks the first ever turbaned actor-singer to walk the Met Gala blue carpet in 2025. Diljit turned heads as he was seen in a maharaja avatar, which was designed by Prabal Gurung. However, it was his behind-the-scenes moment with Nicole Scherzinger that truly stole the internet’s heart.

In a viral video that has been shared from the event, Nicole is seen fixing Shakira’s gown amid the chaos. During that time, Nicole notices Diljit using ChatGPT on his phone. Out of curiosity, she asked about and Diljit responded with a smile, “I am learning English.” Their reaction won the hearts of many fans and praised Diljit for his humility and willingness to learn.

Dilijit not only attended the Met Gala but also represented the whole nation. In another video shared by Shakira, the global music icon introduces celebrities in the van headed to the Gala. When the camera comes to Diljit, she says, “Diljit say hi to India.” The singer replies with a warm smile and folded hands, winning hearts all over again.

Diljit’s team released photos of him sharing a moment with Nicole Scherzinger and Shakira at Anna Wintour’s exclusive post-Gala dinner. Fans couldn’t get over it, but thrilled to see an Indian artist on such a prominent stage. The Met Gala for this year was held on May 5, and the theme was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, inspired by Monica L Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.

During an interview with The New York Times, Diljit revealed that his stylists tried to borrow the maharaja’s iconic Cartier necklace for the night but couldn’t as it is locked up in a museum. However, Diljit’s stylist said she eventually reached out to an Indian jeweller to recreate the jewellery from the original collection.

Apart from Diljit Dosanjh, many Indian celebrities attended the Met Gala, among them were King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan, who also marked his debut at the event, Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, Kiara Advani, Manish Malhotra who also made his debut this year, and Isha Ambani who turned heads at the event.
