EXCLUSIVE: Mimoh Chakraborty REVEALS How Top Industry Actors Insulted Parents Mithun Chakraborty & Yogeeta Bali

Mahaakshay Chakraborty, also known as Mimoh Chakraborty and Mimoh, is an actor who works in Hindi films and series. He is the son of actors Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali. He is best known for his roles in Haunted 3d and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. When asked about how to deal with family criticism and scrutiny, Mimoh Chakraborty said, “Absolutely. The meanest things were like they were making fun of my mom. I would understand for my dad, yes, carrying his legacy. Mere zariye, they were insulting dad, because you cannot pinpoint and say ki Mithun Chakraborty isme kharab tha. It’s because his legacy is so strong, toh unko laga chalo Mimoh ke through humlog Mithun Chakraborty ko bhi gaali de denge.”

He added, “So they weren’t writing my name, they said Mithun Chakraborty’s son, Mithun da ka beta, so they wanted to feel good, whoever they were. But then it became too much, and it was going to my mother. And there were actors in the industry who did that. Forget normal people, audience, it was people from the industry jo khule aam jaake mom ka mazaak uda rahe the. And it became a little too much for me. Ki yaar mere take thik hai, dad take thik hai, but mom pe mat jaao you know. But then I know we all go through this.”

Speaking of carrying his father Mithun Da’s legacy, Mimoh said, “Pehele lagta tha, abhi nahi lagta hai. Abhi, I am like just playing the characters, which I believe. Because kya hoga, if I go on set thinking that every shot has to be better than my father, woh kabhi nahi ho paayega; because he is him. Mithun Chakraborty will always be one Mithun Chakraborty. I can’t imitate him. Even if I do, I won’t be able to reach his stature, and I just want to be Mimoh. I want to be remembered, like you said, Haunted ka hero, so that is my legacy. Now, when you see Khakee, I was in it, I cannot compete with my father, and I don’t want to compete with him. I just want to be Mimoh.”
