Jordan bans Muslim Brotherhood over destabilising aims
Jordan has outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood, its most prominent opposition group, citing links to a sabotage plot. The government has confiscated the group’s assets and banned its activities, holding anyone promoting its ideology accountable. This follows arrests of members accused of planning attacks and prior allegations of a foiled plot in 2024.
