The Akshay Kumar led Kesari 2 has taken a decent start at the box office in India. According to early estimates, the Karan Johar produced courtroom drama is looking to collect in the range of Rs 7.25 crore to Rs 8.25 crore, opening at par with the general trade expectations.
The business in morning shows suggested a start of Rs 5.50 crore, but the biz jumped towards evening and night owing to positive word of mouth. Kesari 2 also benefitted by the holiday of Good Friday, and this is among the better Akshay Kumar openers of the post pandemic world.
The film will show a jump in business on Saturday and then look to see another spike on Sunday, and the target will be to earn around Rs 30 crore through over the three day weekend. The good news for Kesari 2 are the public reports, and this gives hope for a strong hold on Monday.
