National Award-winning filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari recently appeared on Komal Nahta’s Game Changers podcast, sharing his journey from IIT to filmmaking. He discussed the challenges of making Chillar Party and how he convinced Aamir Khan to play a father of two daughters in Dangal.

In the rapid-fire round, Nitesh Tiwari was asked who he would choose to direct Chhichhore between Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Rajkumar Hirani.

The filmmaker within a split second answered by saying “Rajkumar Hirani sir”. Nitesh Tiwari has been very vocal of his admiration for the widely loved filmmaker, Rajkumari Hirani. Nitesh has expressed his love for the films directed by Rajkumar Hirani on multiple occasions and the Game Changers podcast is an example of the same.

On the podcast, Nitesh Tiwari spoke at great length about his journey of directing films like Dangal and Chhichhore, both of which went on to become massive blockbusters. Nitesh Tiwari also spoke about how as an industry they can empower the writers and give more credit to technicians like the editor of the film.
