Sikandar Box Office Estimate Day 3: Salman Khan starrer collects Rs. 22 crores on Tuesday :Bollywood Box Office
The Salman Khan led Sikandar has shown a good hold in collections on Tuesday on the occasion of Baasi Eid, as early estimates are suggesting third day business in the range of Rs. 22 crore to Rs. 24 crore. With this, the opening weekend total of Sikandar stands at Rs 86 crore, and the film is set to be the 17th consecutive Salman Khan film to enter the Rs 100 crore club at the box office in India.
No other actor in the history of Indian Cinema has had an undisputed streak of even 10 films in the Rs 100 crore club, and Salman Khan is standing tall with 17 consecutive films, though the relevance of the club is slowly starting to fade. Sikandar will enter the Rs 100 crore club in 5 days flat, which is again a great feat for films in general, but a rather dull show for a film starring Salman Khan in lead.
The business is very good in the single screens and non national chains, but the multiplexes have started to show cracks, which means that the film wont have long legs to sustain and end up being a failure at the box office. The film has to get in maximum audience until Sunday, as post that, there will be little movement in terms of footfalls and numbers.
The film is riding solely on the shoulders of fan following of Salman Khan, as the neturals have not stepped out to watch the film over the opening weekend. All eyes on the Wednesday test now.
