Sitaare Zameen Par trailer launch postponed
The conflict between India and Pakistan has impacted many Bollywood events too. As per the latest reports, Aamir Khan has decided to postpone the release of the trailer of his upcoming movie Sitaare Zameen Par. The spokesperson from Aamir Khan Productions reportedly stated ‘Our thoughts are with the brave hearts of our armed forces who remain steadfast in protecting the nation. As responsible citizens, we believe it is important to respond with unity and restraint during this time.’
Arijit Singh cancels his upcoming concerts
Earlier, Arijit Singh cancelled his concert in Chennai following the Pahalgam Terror Attack. He has reportedly also postponed his Abu Dhabi concert due to the rising tension between India and Pakistan.
Shreya Ghoshal postpones Mumbai concert
Shreya Ghoshal recently took to her social media account to announce that she has postponed her upcoming Mumbai concert. It was supposed to take place in Jio World Garden, BKC on May 10. However, due to the events unfolding in the country, the concert titled All Hearts Tour has been postponed.
Thug Life audio launch postponed
The audio launch of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Thug Life has also been postponed in wake of escalated tension at the border. The actor shared a statement and said, ‘As our soldiers stand firm on the frontlines with unflinching courage in defence of our motherland, I believe it is a time for quiet solidarity, not celebration. A new date will be announced at a later, more appropriate time (sic).’
Bhool Chuk Maaf gets OTT release
The makers of Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s film Bhool Chuk Maaf decided to cancel the theatrical release. Rather, the film will now be releasing on Amazon Prime Video on May 16. The makers in the statement mentioned that this move is in the light of ‘heightened security’ and ‘spirit of nation’.
Salman Khan cancels UK Tour
After the Pahalgam Terror Attack, Salman Khan and team decided to postpone their UK Tour. The actor had shared the news through social media in a statement revealing that the tour The Bollywood Big One shows scheduled for May 4th and 5th has been postponed. He wrote, ‘While we understand how much our fans were looking forward to these performances, we feel it is only right to pause during this time of grief.’
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s statue reveal postponed
A bronze statue of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in their iconic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge pose was going to be inaugurated at Leicester Square in London this week. However, as per a report in Zoom, the event has now been postponed for later date.
Boycott of Abir Gulaal
